BME Ltd is a County Down renewable energy company that develops, owns and operates clean generation for the long term.
Our story
Clean generation, close to home
Established in 2016, BME was founded on a simple conviction: that the cleanest, most secure electricity is generated close to where people live, from the wind and sunlight of the local landscape.
From our base in Downpatrick we develop renewable generation across County Down and the wider region — identifying good sites, designing them carefully, and seeing them through to construction and grid connection. We are an independent, director-led business under the stewardship of Mr David Napier, and we build to own rather than build to sell.
That long-term ownership shapes everything. Because we live with our decisions for the full life of an asset, we take time over siting, we invest in doing the groundwork properly, and we stay close to the landowners and communities who host our projects.
